Reference Budgets

Pilot project for the development of a common methodology on reference budgets (2014-2015)

Project team: Applica and the University of Antwerp

The European Reference Budgets Network is a pilot project, funded by the European Commission, aimed at the development of a methodology for constructing high-quality cross-nationally comparable reference budgets in all EU Member States. Reference Budgets are defined as baskets of goods and services that represent acceptable standards of living.

The project is also aimed at establishing a network with the capacity to provide intellectual and practical support to the design and development of complete reference budgets in all EU Member States, in line with the common methodology.
